MUSCAT — A citizen has died after drowning in a wadi in the Wilayat of Wadi Bani Khalid, authorities said on Friday, as they renewed warnings over the dangers of entering water bodies during unstable weather.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said its operations centre received a report of the incident in one of the wadi channels in the area. Rescue teams were dispatched, and the individual was recovered but had succumbed to the incident.
Authorities did not disclose further details about the victim.
