MUSCAT : Oman’s meteorological authorities have issued a warning for heavy rainfall across several governorates on Monday, as an unstable weather system continues to affect much of the country.
According to Oman TV, citing the national meteorology department, intense rainfall is expected in Muscat, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Sharqiyah, South Al Batinah, Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, and Al Wusta.
The alert comes amid forecasts of thunderstorms, strong downdraft winds, and the possibility of hail in some areas, raising the risk of flash flooding in wadis and low-lying regions.
