Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held an official session of talks this evening with Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
During the session, the friendship and cooperation relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Armenia were reviewed, along with ways to nurture and develop them in various fields. Both sides agreed to continue framing these relations through further agreements and memoranda of understanding in the coming period, in a manner that enhances mutual interests and opens broader horizons for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also consulted on regional developments and emphasized the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic means. They expressed support for efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tension to contribute to enhancing security and stability and favoring peaceful solutions.

Within the framework of strengthening consultation and coordination mechanisms between the two countries, the two ministers signed a memorandum of understanding between the Foreign Ministries regarding political consultations, consolidating the approach of institutional cooperation and dialogue.

The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Sulaiman bin Saud Al Jabri, Head of the Legal Department at the Foreign Ministry; and Munther bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of the Europe Department. From the Armenian side, it was attended by Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia; Hrachya Poladian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Sultanate of Oman; and several officials from both sides.
