KABUL: Afghanistan has accused Pakistan of conducting an airstrike on a hospital in Kabul, with Taliban officials reporting that more than 400 people were killed and around 250 others wounded. The attack reportedly targeted a drug treatment centre, causing widespread destruction and significant civilian casualties.
Afghan authorities said the strike occurred late in the evening, damaging large sections of the hospital and leaving many trapped under the rubble. Witnesses described chaotic scenes as emergency responders worked to extinguish fires and rescue survivors.
Pakistan has, however, denied targeting civilian infrastructure, stating that the military operation was aimed at insurgents and terrorists. Officials described the accusations as misleading and emphasised that the strikes were conducted to address security threats.
