MUSCAT : The measure comes in response to rising fuel prices and higher insurance costs for operations in conflict-affected regions.
The airline said the Fuel Surcharge will be linked to the US Gulf Coast Jet A1 price per gallon, updated weekly based on global market movements. The War Risk Surcharge will be calculated per kilogram using the chargeable weight on the Master Air Waybill. Both charges will apply to shipments originating from, destined for, or transiting through Oman Air Cargo’s network.
Oman Air Cargo noted that the surcharges will be regularly reviewed and adjusted as necessary to reflect changes in fuel costs, insurance rates, and overall operational conditions.
