MUSCAT: Oman has reaffirmed its solidarity with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and other Arab nations in confronting any violations of their sovereignty or attacks targeting their territories and infrastructure.
The statement came during an emergency GCC leaders’ meeting held via video conference to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the region.
During the meeting, Oman’s Foreign Minister HE Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi emphasised that the ongoing Israeli and US military strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran represent a violation of international law and warned that their continuation could further escalate tensions in the region.
