MUSCAT: The seized items included 521 units of smokeless chewing tobacco, 240 non-compliant cigarettes and three packages of a product known as ‘Chun’.
The seizure was carried out by the CPA’s department in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate through its office in Masirah during an inspection of a shop specialising in tobacco products and smoking accessories.
Some of the products were found concealed in a corner of the shop, the authority said.
All seized items were confiscated, and the necessary legal procedures were initiated against the violator.
