MUSCAT – Preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that net electricity production in Oman – which includes purchases by the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) and the Rural Areas Electricity Company (Tanweer) across various areas – rose by 13.9 percent to reach 3,132.6 GWh by January 2026, compared to 2,749.2 GWh at the end of January 2025.
