MUSCAT: Oman’s Ministry of Labour has urged private sector establishments to expedite the payment of workers’ wages for March 2026 ahead of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
In a circular issued on March 8, the ministry called on all private sector companies subject to the Labour Law under Royal Decree No. 53/2023 to ensure that salaries for the month of March are paid earlier than usual to allow employees to prepare for the Eid celebrations.
According to the circular, employers must complete the payment of workers’ wages no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

The ministry said the directive aims to support workers and their families during the festive period, ensuring they receive their salaries in time for the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
Private sector establishments across the Sultanate have been advised to comply with the instruction and facilitate timely wage transfers through approved payment systems.
