WASHINGTON : US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran had apologised to its Middle East neighbours and pledged not to launch further attacks against them, even as he warned that the country would face additional military action.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said Iran had “apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours” and promised that it would not shoot at them anymore.
“Iran, which is being beaten to hell, has apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore,” Trump wrote. He added that the pledge was made due to what he described as “relentless US and Israeli attacks.”

The US president also said that Iran, which he accused of attempting to dominate the Middle East, was now no longer the “bully of the region,” claiming the country had suffered a historic setback.
Trump further warned that Iran would face additional strikes, writing that the country would be “hit very hard” and suggesting that further targets were under consideration.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East following a series of military exchanges and retaliatory attacks involving Iran and regional actors, raising concerns about broader instability in the region.
Iranian officials have not immediately responded to Trump’s claims. Analysts say the situation remains fluid as diplomatic and military developments continue to unfold.
