MUSCAT – More than 5,000 students across the Sultanate of Oman will begin their Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations on Tuesday, marking a significant academic milestone for the Indian school community in the country.
The examinations will be conducted across 22 Indian schools affiliated to the CBSE in Oman. Of the total candidates, over 2,800 students are set to appear for the Class 10 examinations, while more than 2,200 students will sit for the Class 12 papers.
The exams will commence at 9am (Oman time), with students advised to report to their respective centres by 7.30am to complete entry formalities and verification procedures.

On the first day, Class 10 students will write the Mathematics paper (Standard and Basic), while Class 12 candidates will appear for Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship.
Extending his wishes to the students, Syed Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, encouraged candidates to approach the examinations with confidence and resilience.
“Dear children, as you strive for excellence, remember that no challenge can withstand the power of perseverance and focus. Step into the examination hall with confidence, courage and determination. These examinations mark a significant milestone in your academic journey. Believe in yourselves and stay positive. All the best,” he said.
The CBSE board examinations are being held simultaneously across India and in 26 countries worldwide, reflecting the global footprint of Indian schools. In Oman, the annual examinations represent one of the largest coordinated academic exercises within the expatriate education sector, involving thousands of students, teachers and administrators across the Sultanate.
