MUSCAT – According to the notice, the requirement applies to establishments located within hotel properties, those situated on designated tourist land, and outlets operating under franchise agreements.
The Ministry clarified that restaurants and cafés not falling under these categories may also voluntarily apply for a tourism classification.
Establishments subject to the provisions of the notice can submit their applications through the Ministry’s e-services portal, in accordance with approved procedures, by scanning the designated QR code.
