MUSCAT: In a big relief to Indians travelling from Oman to Kerala, the government has relaxed the mandatory 14-days quarantine for those arriving in the state to seven days, a top official informed The Arabian Stories.
In a government circular issued on September 22 stated all those who visit other states and return to Kerala and “all visitors of Kerala shall be advised to undergo quarantine for seven days”, the copy of the circular which is available with TAS read.
“This is applicable to international passengers as well,” said a high-ranking official of NORKA Roots.

However, after the end of the seven-day quarantine, all passengers must mandatorily undergo a Covid-19 test from a testing laboratory nearest to their home in Kerala.
“They can be tested on the seventh day after arrival and if tested negative, further quarantine of seven days is optional and not mandatory, though 14 days quarantine is desirable as per health protocol,” the circular added.
