MUSCAT : The Oman–India Business Forum on Thursday showcased investment opportunities in the Sultanate, as officials and business leaders from both countries moved to strengthen economic partnership and expand cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The forum, held in Muscat in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focused on promoting Oman as an attractive investment destination and reinforcing long-standing economic ties between the two friendly nations, according to the Oman News Agency.

Participants discussed ways to elevate bilateral cooperation to broader horizons, with emphasis on trade, investment, and joint ventures across priority sectors. The event also aimed to open new channels of collaboration between government institutions and private enterprises in both countries.

Oman and India share deep-rooted economic relations, underpinned by growing trade volumes, investment flows and people-to-people links, with the forum seen as a step toward translating political goodwill into concrete business outcomes.
