MUSCAT : The authority said surface wind activity is forecast across most governorates, with the strongest impacts expected in the desert and exposed areas of Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar. The conditions are expected to persist for several days.
The strong winds are likely to trigger dust and sandstorms, significantly reducing horizontal visibility and potentially affecting traffic on roads, particularly in desert regions.
Oman Meteorology also warned that the Arabian Sea will experience rough conditions, with wave heights expected to reach up to 4.5 metres.
