Muscat — Oman’s Ministry of Education said on Monday that all schools in Musandam Governorate will switch to distance learning on Tuesday, citing expected heavy rainfall affecting parts of the region.
In a statement carried by the Oman News Agency (ONA), the ministry said the decision applies to government, private and international schools, and was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The move follows weather warnings issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, which forecast moderate to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and the risk of flash flooding in parts of Musandam and northern Oman.
