MUSCAT:
More than 2,800 health workers have been infected with coronavirus and two death cases were reported in the last seven months, Oman’s Minister of Health said on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said 2,848 medical staff have been infected with Covid-19: “42% is due to community transfer,” Al Saidi said.

The Minister also grieved the death of a 37-year-old Indian staff nurse who died battling the virus last week. “We lost one of our daughters last week. She was working in another governorate and came to Muscat to help us. She was just 37-years-old,” Al Saidi added.
