MUSCAT : Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) has announced wide-ranging exemptions to help individuals and businesses clear outstanding violations under the Land Transport Law and its implementing regulations for fines incurred before 18 February 2025.
Under the new scheme, individuals including taxi owners and light transport vehicle operators will receive a 100% exemption on all accumulated fines.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be granted a 70% waiver, with the remaining amount payable in six monthly instalments. Large companies will get a 50% exemption, and can also settle the balance over six instalments.
