MUSCAT: Oman will introduce fees for electric vehicle charging services from Oct. 1, with tariffs ranging from 50 to 120 baisa per kilowatt-hour, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said.

The charges will vary according to the capacity and speed of charging equipment, with faster and higher-capacity chargers subject to different tariff levels.

The move comes as Oman seeks to regulate its growing electric vehicle charging network and establish a structured framework for charging services across the country.
