MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday hosted an official state dinner at Al Alam Palace in honour of the visiting President of the Republic of Lebanon Joseph Aoun.
The event was held as part of the Lebanese President’s official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Ahead of the dinner, the two leaders exchanged national orders and commemorative gifts, reflecting the deep respect and growing ties between the two nations. His Majesty the Sultan conferred upon the Lebanese President the Oman Military Medal, First Class, one of the country’s distinguished honours.

In return, the President awarded His Majesty Sultan Haitham the National Order of the Cedar – Grand Cordon, Lebanon’s highest civilian distinction.
