MUSCAT : The training is in line with the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen national capabilities and support tourism growth in key international markets.
The programme seeks to equip participants with the skills required to guide tourists from China and Spanish-speaking countries. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be eligible to obtain an official tourist guide licence.
The Ministry stated that applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be Omani citizens
• Demonstrate fluency in either Chinese or Spanish (mandatory)
• Be available full-time during the training period
• Be actively seeking employment
• Pass the entrance exam and personal interview
Applicants are required to register for the programme online, following which there will be an assessment test for which the candidates will be informed beforehand of the date and venue. Those who pass the assessment will proceed to the interview stage to complete the admission process.
Registration will remain open until December 14, 2025.
