MUSCAT : In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 (29th of Rabi’ al-Akher 1447 AH), the Ministry confirmed that the crescent moon for Jumada al-Ula was sighted after sunset, thereby declaring Thursday, October 23, 2025, as the first day of the new Hijri month.
The announcement came following customary moon-sighting procedures carried out across various locations in the Sultanate. The Ministry extended prayers for a blessed and prosperous month ahead.
