MUSCAT : Indian School Bousher, under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, proudly announces STAI 2025 (Science, Technology and Innovation), a two-day extravaganza to be held on 17th and 18th October 2025. The event is designed to ignite curiosity, celebrate creativity, and inspire purposeful innovation among students of Indian, Private, International, and Ministry Schools in Oman.

Anchored by the theme “Science Sparks, Technology Transforms, Innovation Inspires,” this year’s STAI carries special significance as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted in 2015. Over the past decade, the SDGs have driven global action toward creating a more equitable and sustainable world. By embedding these goals into its events, STAI 2025 showcases how young innovators can advance climate action, clean energy, inclusive technologies, and sustainable living — echoing the global call for collective responsibility and purposeful innovation.

In addition to its core events, STAI Bytes, regularly posted on the school’s social media channels, offers students quick, engaging, and informative segments designed to spark curiosity in science, technology, and innovation. Through short interactive sessions, digital updates, and bite-sized knowledge nuggets, STAI Bytes ensures that learning extends beyond traditional formats, keeping participants inspired and informed throughout the festival.

Adding a touch of personality to STAI 2025, SCITECHNOVA – the STAI Buddy has been introduced this year as the official mascot and companion for the event. What makes SCITECHNOVA special is that it was chosen entirely by the STAI community through a voting process, reflecting the collective voice and enthusiasm of students, teachers, and parents. SCITECHNOVA will serve as a guide, motivator, and symbol of innovation, making the STAI experience even more engaging and memorable.

Speaking about the event, Syed Salman, Chairman of the Indian School Board, said: “STAI 2025 is a platform where imagination meets purpose. In today’s fast-evolving world, students must constantly upgrade their knowledge, adapt to emerging scientific breakthroughs, and apply their learning to solve real-world challenges. Categories and Signature Events
Foundation Level (Grades 1–2) – STAI Sprouts
• SciTechNova in Me! – A playful introduction to science and innovation through dress-up, show-and-tell, and mini-inventions.

Preparatory Level (Grades 3–5) – Curiosity Champs
• SciTechNova Crossword – Strengthening vocabulary, problem-solving, and early scientific concepts through interactive challenges.

Middle Level (Grades 6–8) – Techno Sapiens
• Animate-a-Story Challenge – Coding and animation linked to SDGs such as Climate Action (SDG 13) and Responsible Consumption (SDG 12).
• Build-a-Bot Arena – Robotics challenges themed “Bots for a Better World” aligned with SDG 9 (Innovation & Infrastructure).
• Future Labs Expo – Exhibits on future energy, waste reduction, EdTech, disaster readiness, and assistive tech.

Secondary Level (Grades 9–12) – Idea Crafters
• Future Labs Expo – Advanced innovations for sustainable cities, clean energy, smart nutrition, and eco-friendly transport.
• InnovateX: The SciTech–Business Fusion – Entrepreneurial pitches connecting science with business, aligned with SDGs 8, 9, 10, and 12.

Unison Unbound (Grades 6–12)
• Elements Alive: Science on Stage – Integrating arts with science through music, dance, theatre, and live experiments.

Cross-School Event
• SciTechNova Quiz – Conducted across all categories to test scientific knowledge, technological literacy, and innovative thinking.
