MUSCAT —: The General Directorate of Education in Muscat has issued a circular prohibiting teachers and schools from collecting money from parents for the sale of notes, study summaries, or other academic materials.
The directive stresses that schools and teachers must not impose financial burdens on parents by charging for assignments, enrichment content, or access to online educational platforms. Instead, enrichment and support for students should be provided through free, official educational channels.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to easing financial pressure on families and ensuring that education-related resources remain accessible without additional costs. It also emphasized that any attempts to monetize classroom support materials would be considered a violation of regulations.
