“This flight will give a strong boost to relations between the two countries, providing more choices for travelers and supporting the local economy,” Al Amri said. He also revealed that Iraqi Airways will add direct flights from Baghdad to Muscat starting September 9, further expanding connectivity.
Engineer Manaf Abdul Munim, Director General of Iraqi Airways, noted that the launch reflects the deepening cooperation between Iraq and Oman, especially following the recent visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani to Muscat. He said the route would open “broad horizons for tourism, economic, and investment cooperation.”
