MUSCAT: A 45-year-old Indian engineer and community sports enthusiast passed away in Muscat on Friday following a heart attack. The deceased has been identified as Krishna, a native of Ramamangalam in Ernakulam district, Kerala.
Krishna, who was working with an engineering consultancy firm in Muscat, was widely popular as a swimming coach, cyclist, and trekking expert. He had trained hundreds of children and residents in swimming at Khalbouh Park, earning deep respect across the community.
He is survived by his wife Swapna, a Kerala government employee, and two children — Raghuram Krishna and Poornima Krishna. His father, the late Karunakaran Nair, and mother Sathi also hail from Ramamangalam.

Community members and social workers confirmed that arrangements are being made to repatriate the body to Kerala.
