MUSCAT – Oman denounced Israel’s occupation as a clear violation of international law and a blatant disregard for international legitimacy resolutions, and its infringement of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people without deterrence or punishment.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the Sultanate of Oman called on all countries of the world, particularly the member states of the United Nations Security Council, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities to stop the injustice inflicted on the Palestinian people, and to take immediate, decisive measures to enable them to regain their legitimate rights.
The statement reiterated the Sultanate’s unwavering support for a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, stressing the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation and establishing a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders.
