DUBAI– The app, owned by UAE-based tech group Astra Tech, now features a streamlined, lower-case brand identity, which is a deliberate part of its new look to showcase its modern, user-centric approach.
With a global user base of over 150 million, botim is increasingly positioning itself as a super app, offering not just high-quality voice and video calls, but also a growing suite of financial services. The platform has been steadily upgrading its fintech capabilities, supporting everything from cross-border remittances to domestic payment transfers.
The redesigned app introduces a faster, more intuitive user interface, direct one-click access to financial tools from within chat, and AI-powered chatbot assistance, all geared toward simplifying the user experience.
The platform has also seen a 50 percent spike in active wallet users, which Astra Tech says is a clear sign of its rising importance in the digital finance ecosystem.
