MUSCAT – This mission marks another milestone in the Sultanate’s emerging space ambitions.
The Duqm-2 launch is facilitated by New Zealand-based aerospace company Stellar Kinetics, in partnership with NASCOM, the parent company of Etlaq.
Etlaq Spaceport is Oman’s first commercial spaceport. Its equatorial positioning provides a performance advantage, reducing fuel consumption and optimising satellite deployment to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond.
The Duqm-2 mission will utilise the KEA-1 launch vehicle, a product of Stellar Kinetics. Following the successful launch of Duqm-1 from Etlaq Spaceport in December 2024.
