MUSCAT – The project will expand the zone’s industrial portfolio and attracting sustainable foreign investment. It will strengthen integration with global supply chains, and open up avenues for localising industrial activities and developing value-added chains in the region
The new factory will occupy a 96,000 square meter plot, with a total investment estimated at RO 29.6 million (USD 70 million). It will be designed with a production capacity of up to three million mattresses annually, with the first phase focusing on exporting to the United States, followed by expansion to the markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, India, and the European Union, in addition to the local market in the Sultanate of Oman.

Johnson Lim, General Manager of Sweet Night Fine Home, highlighted the strategic appeal of Sohar Freezone, citing its prime location, operational readiness, and long-term growth prospects. He expressed his confidence that the project will represent a significant step in the company’s expansion in the region, thanks to the integrated investment environment that embraces industrial ambitions and supports its long-term goals.
Mohammed Al Shezawi, Acting CEO of Sohar Freezone, described the project as a qualitative addition to the Freezone’s growing list of international industrial ventures. He emphasised Sohar Port and Freezone’s commitment to attracting investments that contribute to enhancing economic growth and expanding the industrial base.
He added that the project embodies the strategic potential offered by the integrated Sohar Port and Freezone system, and, in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, reflects its drive to build a flexible and diversified industrial sector.
