Gold prices slip to a two-week low

Gold fell to its lowest level in nearly two weeks today after US President Donald Trump announced that Iran and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire to end the 12-day conflict, reducing demand for the metal as a safe haven.

Singapore: Spot gold fell 0.6 percent to $3,349.89 per ounce, after hitting its lowest level since June 11.

US gold futures fell 0.9 percent to $3,364.20.

The decline follows the ceasefire announcement with U.S. President Trump stating on Truth Social that a “full and comprehensive” ceasefire between Israel and Iran would take effect within 12 hours.

As for other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.1 percent to $36.03 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3 percent to $1,260.78, and palladium fell 0.1 percent to $1,043.
