The total number of projects exceeded 200, employing approximately 2,621 employees, and spanning a total area of 759,566 square meters.

He highlighted Madayn’s plans to implement several vital infrastructure projects in the coming phase. These include a multi-story parking facility and a solar power plant with a production capacity of 1.4 megawatts. HE also noted that Madayn has completed a number of infrastructure enhancements at KOM, including services attached to the ring road project, addition of scooter transportation service within the KOM campus, development of boulevard walkway, and completion of the security fence project.
As part of its digital transformation and smart city initiatives, KOM recently conducted a field trial of advanced tablet-based geographic information systems (GIS). This technology enables high-precision facility and infrastructure mapping, contributing to the attraction and localization of foreign investment and enhancing Oman’s economic competitiveness.
In a move toward sustainable facility management, KOM also piloted a drone-based building cleaning system. This approach reduces water consumption through the use of environmentally friendly materials and advanced cleaning technologies. The initiative supports sustainability, promotes public safety by reducing human exposure in hazardous environments, and aligns with global trends in smart city innovation.
It is worth noting that Madayn, through Knowledge Oasis Muscat, seeks to attract companies wishing to expand or relocate their operations to the Sultanate of Oman. It also provides supportive environment for startups and SMEs focused on technological innovation, offering world-class facilities, integrated services, and a knowledge-driven ecosystem. It also aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing.
