MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have warned the public not to fall prey to cyber scams.
The warning comes after ROP pointed out a fake SMS that is being circulated widely. “Royal Oman Police would like to point out that those messages are incorrect,” ROP said in a statement
ROP also emphasized that such messages are circulated for the purpose of cyber fraud. “Everyone should refrain from interacting with any unofficial links or websites, verify the accuracy of information through official police channels, and report any suspicious messages or links,” the statement added.
