London: The Israeli airstrike on Iran has pushed up global oil tanker rates and tanker company stocks as investors anticipate significant disruption to global oil traffic.
Bloomberg News reported that July futures prices rose 15% to $12.83 per ton, according to data from brokerage Marex Group.
Oil tanker stocks also saw a significant rise, as one of the world’s largest tanker owners stated that it had become more cautious about leasing its vessels in the region.
