Muscat: The recognition highlights Oman’s commitment to supporting water sciences and sustainable water resource management over the past six decades, through the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and the Omani National Committee for the International Hydrological Programme.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation’s (UNESCO) tribute underscores Oman’s dedication to building global partnerships and strengthening international cooperation in the field of hydrology. The Ministry reaffirmed its goal of achieving sustainable and comprehensive development of natural resources, particularly water, by collaborating with international institutions and advancing scientific knowledge.
