Muscat – In an official statement, the Embassy clarified that the export of foreign domestic workers from Indonesia to Arab countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, is not currently permitted by the Indonesian government. As such, any dealings in this regard are considered illegal and outside official channels.
Stressing that legal measures cannot be taken to recover any funds transferred to such recruitment offices, the Embassy stated: “The export of foreign workers is not officially permitted yet to Arab countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, and legal measures cannot be taken to recover the transferred amounts because it is an illegal act.”
