Gold prices rise as global jitters fuel safe-haven rush

Gold prices climbed as investors rushed to safe-haven assets amid escalating uncertainty in US-China trade relations and broader global economic concerns.

Muscat: Spot gold rose 0.6 percent to $3,370.67 per ounce, reflecting growing market anxiety. US gold futures also saw a 0.5 percent uptick, reaching $3,394.90.

The upward trend extended to other precious metals. Spot silver increased by 0.3 percent to $34.59 per ounce, while platinum rose 0.5 percent to $1,079.62. Palladium, however, remained unchanged at $1,009.94.
