MUSCAT : The sukuk offers a competitive annual profit rate of 4.65%, payable semi-annually.

In a significant move to diversify investment avenues and promote Sharia-compliant financing, the Oman Sovereign Sukuk Company (OSC) has opened public subscription for its latest sovereign sukuk issuance, worth RO 100 million. The subscription window will open on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, and close on Sunday, June 1, 2025, with the sukuk settlement scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The sukuk has a fixed annual profit rate of 4.65%, with payouts scheduled every June 4 and December 4 until maturity on June 4, 2032. The issuance is open to all categories of investors — both domestic and international — and across all nationalities.

Investors can participate in the subscription through a competitive bidding process facilitated by Bank Muscat and its Islamic window Meethaq, as well as Ahli Bank and its Islamic window Ahli Islamic. The sukuk complies fully with Islamic Sharia principles and will be tradable on the Muscat Stock Exchange at prevailing market prices.

To ensure a seamless subscription process, OSC has stressed that investors must ensure the bank account number provided in the subscription form matches the one registered with the Muscat Clearing and Depository Company. All sukuk allocations will be registered and managed through this system.
