Muscat – The project, which spans an area of 100,000 square meters, with a construction area of 36,000 square meters, has been built at a total cost of more than RO 48 million.
The hospital will accommodate 164 beds, which will contribute to enhancing healthcare services in the governorate.
According to Eng. Yousef bin Yaqoub Ambu Ali, Director General of the Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Services at the Ministry of Health, the new hospital is one of the governorate’s most important health development projects.
He explained that the hospital includes an accident and emergency unit, a radiology department, a kidney medicine unit, outpatient clinics, a rehabilitation unit, intensive care units (adults, children, and cardiac), a gynaecology and obstetrics department, a special care unit for premature babies, a daily operations department, administrative offices, a meeting room, a central sterilisation department, and hospitalisation wards, in addition to general services.
