MUSCAT – The company held an introductory meeting at the headquarters of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Al Dhahirah to present the project, which aims to rehabilitate the archaeological village and position it as a key cultural destination in the governorate.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with public and private sector entities, with a focus on preserving heritage assets while supporting tourism-led economic development.
During the meeting, officials outlined the historical and economic significance of the project, highlighting its role in revitalising cultural tourism and showcasing ongoing preparations for restoration works in line with sustainable development standards.
Participants also conducted a field visit to the site, where they were briefed on the project’s components and development plans aimed at restoring architectural heritage and transforming the area into an attractive tourism destination.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Taher bin Mabkhout Al Junaibi, Governor of Al Dhahirah, and Engineer Abdulrahman bin Humaid Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhahirah International Development and Investment Company, along with a number of officials and representatives of relevant public and private sector entities.
