Credit Oman secures trade worth over RO 547 Million in 2024, Muscat leads with 65% share

Credit Oman recorded a significant upswing in trade insurance activity in 2024, securing over half a billion Omani riyals in local and export sales.

Muscat: The total value of insured local sales by Credit Oman by the end of 2024 stood at approximately RO 171.5 million. Meanwhile, the value of secured sales for local exports rose to RO 376.4 million, a 5.4 per cent increase compared to RO 356.9 million in 2023.

According to the statistics released by Credit Oman, the Muscat Governorate led the nation in insured sales, accounting for 65.8 percent of the total, with a value of RO 112.739 million. North Al Batinah Governorate followed with RO 19.168 million, representing 9.4 percent, while Dhofar came third with RO 13.529 million, or 7.9 percent.

Other governorates also contributed to the overall performance:

Al Dakhiliyah: RO 6.405 million

South Al Batinah: RO 5.337 million

North Al Sharqiyah: RO 3.114 million

South Al Sharqiyah: RO 2.988 million

Al Buraimi: RO 1.032 million

Al Wusta: RO 261,000
