Muscat: With this latest expansion, the total number of projects in Ibri Industrial City has risen to 16, including one currently in the production phase. By the end of 2023, total investments in the industrial city had reached RO 19.835 million, with the total leased area increasing to 188,893 square meters.
Salah bin Nasser Al Alawi, Director General of Ibri Industrial City, highlighted ongoing development efforts, including the planned implementation of a security gate project and beautification of the main roundabout. A newly inaugurated fuel station—part of a larger integrated services project—is now operational, featuring a rest area and service station for both trucks and cars. This privately executed project aims to serve businesses, workers, residents, and highway users alike.
The completion of the first phase of infrastructure construction has laid a strong foundation for attracting investments, with the provision of essential services such as roads, electricity, water, sewage, and lighting. The administration is focused on developing industrial, commercial, and service sectors—particularly light and medium industries like food processing, paper production, and maintenance services for the oil and gas sector.
