MUSCAT: The government is in talks with Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI Alliance) for obtaining 700,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine once it is produced, Oman’s Minister of Health said.
In a statement issued by the Oman News Agency, Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said the Ministry is aiming to get the vaccine once it’s declared safe and effective.
Al Saidi also informed that the Sultanate is seeking to participate in developing the research related to this vaccine “thereby ensuring the priority right to obtain the vaccine once developed,” the statement added.
