MUSCAT: Companies transporting goods must obtain permits to move between governorates during the nationwide lockdown from July 25 to August 8, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced.
In a statement issued online, MOCI said the following trucks will be allowed to move between governorates, provided they obtain the permits from the Ministry.
- Institutions and companies licensed to engage in the sale of foodstuffs (trucks with a load of not more than 3 tons).
- Oil tankers and cooking gas supply.
To apply for permits, companies can communicate via text messages WhatsApp only (to the number 90114111 or to the email maldohani@moci.gov.om).
