MUSCAT : The device will be available for pre-order starting Friday, with an official launch set for February 28.
The iPhone 16e retains many premium features, including the A18 chip, a 6.1-inch display, and a 48MP camera capable of 4K video recording at 60fps. Additionally, it includes Apple Intelligence, the company’s advanced AI technology, which enhances text, image creation, and message organization.

Apple is positioning the iPhone 16e as a cost-effective alternative to the standard iPhone 16, pricing it at:
$599 (128GB)
$699 (256GB)
$899 (512GB)
The iPhone 16e battery life is expected to outperform its pricier counterpart, delivering 26 hours of video playback, surpassing the iPhone 16’s 22 hours and ranking second only to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. With USB-C charging, the device promises faster, more efficient power-ups.

Unlike Apple’s iPhone SE models, which traditionally serve as budget alternatives, the iPhone 16e introduces a fresh category of lower-cost iPhones without major compromises. Available in just black and white, it breaks from Apple’s usual colourful palette.
This launch comes amid Apple’s financial recalibration, following iPhone sales of $69.1 billion last quarter, $2 billion below Wall Street estimates. The company has also faced headwinds in China, where revenue declined by $2.4 billion due to increased competition from Huawei and Xiaomi.
Despite these challenges, Apple remains resilient, reporting 4% year-over-year revenue growth and a 10% jump in net profit.
