MUSCAT : The agreement was signed by Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al Alawi, Director General of Khoula Hospital, and Omar bin Mohammed Al Farsi, Director General of Al Yusr Charity Foundation. Under the terms of the agreement, the hospital will receive 162 medical devices and equipment, along with 7,520 surgical tools for several specialties, including general surgery, plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology.

This initiative is part of Al Yusr Charity Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support community health projects and align with the Sultanate of Oman’s vision of improving healthcare services for both citizens and residents. The project’s focus is on providing the latest medical technology and advanced surgical tools, which will contribute to enhancing the quality and efficiency of treatments and procedures at Khoula Hospital.

The upgraded day care unit at Khoula Hospital will help reduce patient waiting times and increase the volume of surgical procedures performed annually. The hospital has already expanded its surgical services to include more complex operations, such as ear, nose, and throat surgery, dental and jaw surgery, and eye surgery. The hospital aims to perform over 10,000 surgeries per year, ensuring faster access to specialised care and improving overall patient outcomes.
