Muscat: This year’s examinations, spanning 7,842 centres across India and 26 other countries, mark the start of the 2024-25 academic session assessments, with more than 4.2 million students participating.

In total, 24,12,072 students will appear for Class 10 exams covering 84 subjects, while 17,88,165 students will tackle Class 12 papers in 120 subjects. According to the CBSE, the Class 10 examinations run from February 15 to March 18, and Class 12 exams conclude on April 4. For Class 10 candidates, Science is scheduled on February 20 (10:30 am to 1:30 pm), followed by Social Science (087) on February 25.

CBSE also announced that the date sheets were released a record 86 days before the start of exams—23 days earlier than last year. This early announcement aims to help students plan better, reduce examination stress, and allow teachers and families to organize their schedules well in advance. Additionally, schools designated as exam centres will have ample time to manage logistical requirements without hindering regular classes for non-board students.
