MUSCAT: More than 100 stranded passengers who are residents of Oman have arrived from India on Wednesday.
According to sources, 119 stranded residents including new visa holders arrived from Kochi in SalamAir’s flight after receiving necessary approvals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Darwish, a resident was excited to welcome his wife who was stranded in Kerala for nearly four months. “Unfortunately, my six-year-old daughter got stranded here while my wife went on a short trip to Kerala and then the airport was closed. We were trying our best to get the necessary approvals and thanks to SalamAir for all the help provided to us,” Darwish said.

Early this week, 61 stranded Indians who are holding valid Oman visa had arrived in the country.
Residents of Oman currently stranded outside the country due to the suspension of the aviation can apply for an entry permit with MoFA. Once the request is accepted, the approval will be granted in coordination with other relevant authorities to help them return to Oman, including in some of the incoming repatriation flights.
