Muscat: The temperature plunge was most notable in Saiq, which recorded the lowest at a chilly 1°C, marking a sharp contrast to other areas in the Sultanate.
The report highlights the geographical diversity of Oman’s climate. Following Saiq, other regions also recorded single-digit temperatures, underscoring the winter chill spreading across the nation. Al Mazyounah and Yanqul dropped to 6.9°C, while Sunainah trailed close at 7.2°C. Haima logged 8.0°C, and Marmul and Bahla followed with 8.7°C and 8.9°C, respectively.
Adding to the cool list, Hamra Ad Duru marked 9.1°C, while Nizwa and Thumrait both stood at 9.3°C.
