Dhofar Municipality tightens licensing rules for 2026 Khareef season activities

Dhofar Municipality has announced that all recreational activities during the 2026 Khareef season, including electric and inflatable games, aerial activities, and horse and camel rentals, must obtain the required licences before commencing operations.

MUSCAT : The municipality said compliance with approved conditions and regulations set by Dhofar Municipality and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority is mandatory for all sites without exception, including privately owned, leased, investment, and event locations.

It stressed that no activity may begin preparation or operation without completing the necessary permits and approvals in advance.

It further warned that legal action will be taken against violators, including the closure of unlicensed activities operating during the Khareef season.
